sample imageWe take pride in offering great customer support for our software. We make them and know best how to fix problems that may arise. There are, however, some limitations as to what we can do:

 

* Quick Start

These are a few steps that is required to get your Peripheral and MagicScripts setup for use.

1. Install MagicScripts Driver - You can install the MagicScripts driver from the Android Market Place.

2. Cycle Phone Power
- After installing the MagicScripts driver you must turn off then back on your phone.

3. Pair Your Printer with Android / Droid device - Some printers must be set to discovery mode while most printers automatically enters discovery mode when power is turned on.

4. Select Bluetooth Printer - Select your peripheral from MagicScripts Bluetooth printer list.

5. Set Starting URL - Required to display your home page with JavaScripts.

* Setting Home Screen (URL)

1. Open the [Settings Screen] as shown in the figure on the right.

2. Select [Start Page] as shown in the figure on the right.

3. Type in your URL as shown in the figure on the right.

* Setting Default Printer

0. Pair your Bluetooth printer to your Android device.

1. Open the [Settings Screen] as shown in the figure on the right.

2. Select [Bluetooth Printer] as shown in the figure on the right.

3. Select your Bluetooth printer as shown in the figure on the right.

* Setting Bluetooth Port

1. Open the [Settings Screen] as shown in the figure on the right.

2. Select [Bluetooth Port] as shown in the figure on the right.

3. Select your Bluetooth port as shown in the figure on the right.

Note: you should try [Auto] first and if your printer does not connect try other ports.

* Setting Character Encoding

1. Open the [Settings Screen] as shown in the figure on the right.

2. Select [Character Encoding] as shown in the figure on the right.

3. Select the proper encoding your printer supports.

* Checking Status

1. Open the [Main Screen] as shown in the figure on the right.

2. Select [Help] as shown in the figure on the right.

3. Notice the current status of MagicScripts.

* Troubleshooting Tips

Problem Possible Cause Corrective Action
MagicScripts does not find my bluetooth peripheral and returns error. 1. Peripheral not SPP compatible.
2. Device Bluetooth stack corrupted
1. Un-pair peripheral from device and scan again.
2. Turn OFF Bluetooth for 5 seconds then back ON and rescan.
3. Turn OFF device and then back ON and rescan.
My Peripheral is paired but MagicScripts indicates peripheral is disconnected. Peripheral Address not found. 1. Verify that your peripheral can be found using settings/Bluetooth Printer.
2. Turn OFF Bluetooth for 5 seconds than back ON and retry.
My peripheral is turned on and MagicScripts says it is connected but I can not print. 1. JavaScript not correct. 1. Try using MagicScripts test page printing to verify printer is compatible.
MagicScripts stopped connecting to my printer. MagicScript driver configuration data possibly corrupted. Turn OFF Bluetooth for 5 seconds than back ON and retry.
Can't pair another Bluetooth device to my Android® device when MagicScripts is installed. When MagicScripts is actively searching for the printer the Bluetooth Manager becomes busy this prevents new devices from pairing. Try disabling MagicScripts driver by turning off your printer.
