* Quick Start

These are the main steps that is required to get your BlueTxT setup for use.

1. Install BlueTxT Application - You can install the BlueTxT application from the Android Market Place.

2. Pair Your Printer with Android / Droid device
- Some printers must be set to discovery mode while most printers automatically enters discovery mode when power is turned on.

[√] Turn On Bluetooth - In BlueTxT settings screen turn on Bluetooth should be checked.

4. Select Bluetooth Printer
- Select your printer from BlueTxT Bluetooth device list.

5. Select Printer Type
- Set the printer language type of your printer.

6. Page Layout\Characters Per Line
- Set the default number of characters that can be printed on a single line of your printer.

* Printer Configuration

These are the steps that is required to configure your printer for use.

1. [√] Turn On Bluetooth - In BlueTxT settings screen turn on Bluetooth should be checked.


2. Select Bluetooth Printer
- Select your printer from BlueTxT Bluetooth device list.


3. Select Printer Type
- Set the printer language type of your printer.


4. Page Layout\Characters Per Line
- Set the default number of characters that can be printed on a single line of your printer.

* Page Header/Footer Configuration

Page header is multi-line separated by the new-line character. A header separator line can be added to make your receipts look more professional looking.

These are the steps that is required to configure page header.

 

1. Header Text - Type the text you want printed at the top of your receipts. Press [Return key] to start a new line.

 


2. [√] Header Centering - To center each line check the header centering option.

 

3. Header Separator - You can create a separator line using basic characters such as "Dash, Equal, Asterisk, and Period" characters.

* Body Text Alignment

Body text alignment is a automated text alignment process that help to create professional looking receipts.

These are the steps that is required to use the "Split using @ sign".

 

1. Type the text you want printed for the body text. Separate text on each line using the "@" character.

* Using Items Database

Inserting items into receipt editor helps to reduce the time it takes to create a receipt.

These are the steps that is required to use the items database for building receipts.

 

1. Set Cursor Position - Set the cursor position where the new item will be inserted.

 

2. Select Item From Database - Tap on the "Items" menu option to open the items list. Select the item to insert from the list and press and continue pressing until the alert option dialog is displayed.

 

3. Enter Quantity Sold - Type the number of units and select insert.

* Troubleshooting Tips

Problem Possible Cause Corrective Action
My Printer does not show up in the BlueTxT printers list 1. Printer not paired.
2. Phone not SPP compatible.
1. Un-pair printer from device and pair again.
2. Turn OFF Bluetooth for 5 seconds then back ON and open BlueTxT printers list.
3. Turn OFF device and then back ON and open BlueTxT printers list.
Text wraps around when printing. Character Per Line not configured correctly. 1. Verify that you entered the correct number of characters that fit on a line.
Home office does not receive notification emails. Home Office Notification requires a Gmail account. 1. Verify that your phone is setup to use your Gmail account.
Strange or Garbage characters are printed. Printer Type is not set correctly. 1. Verify the type of printer you are using and set BlueTxT "Select Printer Type" accordingly.
